Deacon Blue

World famous pop rock band Deacon Blue have enjoyed huge commercial success which has seen they regularly break the Top 20 and sold more than six million albums.

Despite a temporary split, they reformed to the relief of an ecstatic loyal fan base which continues to grow.

The band took inspiration from the Steely Dan song Deacon blues when they formed in 1985. They continue to both perform live on stage and record new material in the studio, having released nine albums so far including their debut Raintown, follow up album When The World Knows Your Name which stayed at #1 for two weeks plus more recent hits such as A New House and their latest release Believers.

The band members include drummer Dougie Vipond, James Prime on keys plus vocalists Ricky Ross and Lorraine McIntosh.

Following the release of their latest album Believers they have announced a live date to promote the new material. See them headline Newcastle Racecourse on Friday 29th of June.

Deacon Blue tickets will be launched at 09:00 on Friday 2nd of February and expected to sell quickly.
